The heart of the hamam is the marble stone. Your bodies warms on this “hot rock”. The pool attendant starts the purification ritual, which begins with a stripping of the old layers of skin. You will be covered in soap foam and washed from head to foot. Every muscle in your body is then massaged, from gently to firmly. You will then be rubbed dry with a rough washcloth made of goat or horse hair.
