Your mountain biking area of Naturns
At 550 metres Naturns lies exactly at the vertex of the Meran district and the Vinschgau Valley. The ideal point of departure for all types of bike. Those who cycle for pleasure can travel on the Vinschger railway or bike shuttle to Rechenpass and then up over the 80 km pleasure trail back to Naturns, to Meran or to Bozen. A cycle experience for the whole family.
All mountain bikers' hearts will race faster on the selection of over 50 well-signposted Alpine tracks that are marked on tour maps, from single trails, downhill stretches and super uphill classics. In spring the Sonnenberg is alluring, a unique biking area in the Alps. In high summer you can travel up to the glaciers. The many side valleys give you an extraordinarily varied array of cycling impressions and the Oetzi Bike Academy with its 7 bike guides means you can forget GPS tours. Every tour gains through the fact that it is accompanied by a guide and through the South Tyrolean charm. Day tours of up to 2000 metres in altitude are not rare, and are varied by easier trips over the gentle vine- and apple-covered slopes. Transalp has recognised the merits of your biking area for both MTB and racing bikes and regularly visits Naturns.
